1:1 Coaching for Axial SpA

Cut through the noise. Build a personalised approach to movement, strength and living well with inflammatory arthritis.

Living with ankylosing spondylitis, axial spondyloarthritis or another form of inflammatory arthritis can be overwhelming.

You might be dealing with pain, stiffness or fatigue. You might have just been diagnosed, or you might have been living with your condition for years.

Maybe you want to get stronger. Improve your mobility or flexibility. Return to exercise after a flare. Feel more confident in your body. Improve your nutrition, sleep or stress. Or simply understand what you should actually be doing.

Then you go online and find a hundred different opinions pointing you in a hundred different directions.

That’s where 1:1 coaching comes in.

I help you cut through the noise, understand your options and build a personalised plan around your body, your goals and your life.

Ready to Get Started?

Below, you’ll see a button to book a free consultation.

When you click through, you’ll be asked to complete a short enquiry form. This gives me a little more information about you, where you’re currently at, what you’re struggling with and what you’d like support with.

I’ll review that before our consultation so we can make the conversation as useful and focused as possible.

From there, we’ll organise a time that works for both of us and use the call to explore your goals, your current situation, and whether 1:1 coaching feels like the right fit.
What can we work on?

Your coaching is completely individual. We won’t necessarily work on everything below - we’ll focus on what matters most to you.

Strength & Exercise

Build strength, capacity and confidence with exercise that meets you where you are.Whether you’re starting from a very low baseline, returning after a flare, going back to the gym or working towards higher-level strength goals, we can build an approach that progresses gradually and realistically.

Mobility Training

Mobility training is about improving your ability to move actively and confidently through the ranges that matter to you. That might include working on joint range, control, flexibility, movement quality or specific restrictions that are getting in the way of daily life, training or sport.

Yogic Practices

Depending on your goals and interests, we may draw on physical yoga practices, breathwork, relaxation, meditation, Yoga Nidra and other yogic tools. These practices can support movement, body awareness, stress regulation, recovery and the wider experience of living with a long-term condition.

Fatigue & Recovery

Fatigue can have a huge impact on exercise and everyday life.
We can look at how you train, recover and pace activity, alongside restorative practices and other tools that may help you manage your energy more effectively.

Nutrition

There is a huge amount of conflicting information online about nutrition and inflammatory conditions.

We can look at practical, sustainable nutrition habits without extreme diets, unnecessary restriction or miracle claims. Where more specialist support is needed, I can help you recognise that and support you in finding appropriate referrals, such as a registered dietitian or another relevant healthcare professional.

Sleep, Stress & the Bigger Picture

You are more than your joints.
Sleep, stress, work, relationships, recovery and everyday life all influence how manageable your condition feels.
The aim is to look at the whole picture rather than treating you as a diagnosis.

Lifestyle & Living Well With Axial SpA

This is the wider picture.
Your work, relationships, routines, environment, habits, confidence, activity levels and priorities all influence how you live with a long-term condition.
We can look at what is helping, what is getting in the way and how to build changes that are realistic, sustainable and actually fit your life.

Sport & Performance

If your goal is to return to a sport or physical activity you love, we can build your training around that. That might mean getting back to running, cycling, climbing, surfing, skating, racket sports, hiking, team sport or simply feeling capable enough to take part again with confidence.

My Approach

Meet yourself where you are. Then build from there.

Your symptoms, energy and capacity can change from week to week. My approach is about helping you make progress without falling into an 'all or nothing cycle' - building strength, confidence and capacity over time, while adapting when you need to.

I live with axial spondyloarthritis myself, so I understand the uncertainty and overwhelm that can come with trying to manage a long-term condition.

Alongside that lived experience, I’m a qualified personal trainer and yoga teacher, with further training in therapeutic yoga, strength and conditioning and nutrition. I’ve worked with hundreds of people living with axial SpA and related inflammatory conditions, from those starting with very gentle movement through to people wanting to build strength, return to sport or improve physical performance.

My role is to bring that experience together and help you build an approach that is practical, evidence-informed and personal to you.
